“In Hollywood, nobody knows anything.”

When Gregory Gallant asked me to subway over to Brooklyn to be on his Venture Voice podcast I forgot to ask him what we’d be talking about that day. When I got there he let me know he’d done over 40 interviews on entrepeneurship. Then I asked him whether it was my entrepeneurship in cartoons or advertising or media. I confused him entirely and I never quite got an answer. We talked about everything and I think I proved my favorite quote (written by William Goldman).

We’re celebrating one year of video podcasts featuring cartoonists’ work from all over the world, and the winners of the First Annual Channel Frederator Awards which were voted on at the end of last year.

Channel Frederator’s one of NNN’s early building blocks (also check out VOD Cars) and we’re not only proud of being the world’s original cartoon podcast, but also to be holding the first (at least we think so) podcaster’s award show to give out awards (“The Freddie”) to users who submitted video through the web.

Come on over. CineSpace in Hollywood, 8pm, Wednesday, January 24, 2007.

Gregory Gallant of Venture Voice.

VV’s subject is entrepreneurship and my first question to Greg was whether he was interviewing Fred the cartoon producer or Fred the Next New Networks guy? Turns out it was a little of both; he wasn’t quite sure since he didn’t know anything yet about NNN (and it was a good chance to tell him and his listeners about us) and it was more because he knew about our hit cartoon video podcast, Channel Frederator.
