save the robot museum!
By Tim on Saturday, September 29th, 2007Ryan from Engadget visited the Robot Museum during his trip to Japan a couple weeks ago and posted about it yesterday, along with the devastating news that it will be closing down permanently tomorrow. If an awesome robot museum can’t stay open in Japan, what hope can it have anywhere? Let’s see if we can’t raise a fund and get it installed somewhere here in Manhattan, where I hear there’s tons of free and inexpensive space available.
There’s an amazing photo gallery of both the museum collection and the adjoining store, where I would have lost a lot of yen. I was especially happy to see an Armitron (pictured below on the top left) — I really loved that thing as a kid.
