One day late last year there was this guy sitting in the office doing community research on comic books, fashion, pets, and a bunch of other stuff. Next thing I knew Andres Palmiter was working in programming on Fast Lane Daily. Somewhere along the line his electric guitar showed up too.

His take?

“At the urging of his sage parents, Andres defected to the Northeast for college were he spent four years playing guitar, comparing literature, studying languages, and enjoying homemade rice with cans of Goya black beans. Important Andres fact #41: he has incorporated the guitar into every class presentation, show-and-tell, and school talent show since he was six.

“After doing thankless work as a grant-writer and losing faith in the non-profit world, Andres spent a couple weeks working for Engadget and temporarily lost faith in the internet. Playing guitar for pedestrian passers-by in Queens was not covering rent and at the urging of his roommate, Andres applied to dozens of unpaid internship opportunities in New York City.

“As an intern for a nameless internet start-up, Andres had the opportunity to fulfill his college application promise to pursue video production/editing. Employing a succesful campaign of trickery, tomfoolery, mirrors, and black ice he has become the least-qualified Associate Producer in the history of television, I mean internet… I mean intervision.

“Andres has yet to lose faith in the intervision.”

Having traveled the same almost thankless non-profit work Andres, I can really relate.

Andres rocks, is fun to work with, and makes Fast Lane Daily better every day. Especially when he has to deal with my insanity while editing it.

    Hey Andres!
Thanks for the call a few days ago! It’s really appreciated! I’ve been meaning to hit you back, but things are ULTRA Crazy right now. But fear not, I have located a place in Astoria with two old buddies I used to work with at Disney, who now happen to be working for Mtv. Weird coincidence.
It will be cool to work with you & yr awesome Guitar of Awesomeness.
    Cool,
    JeauxJ
