Liam Collins is business affairs.

Liam Collins

Liam Collins just showed up in the office one day and started doing stuff. Next thing we knew he was there all the time, and we really weren’t sure how we’d accomplish anything if he wasn’t around. (It turns out we met him through our very helpful investors and friends at Boston’s Spark Capital) A really wonderful guy with the kind of personality who makes everyone around him want to work harder, better, and happier, Liam is one of the proofs to me how lucky we’ve been to attract such a high quality team.

From Liam’s biography:
“Liam is the Director of Business Affairs and Business Development for Next New Networks. Prior to joining NNN, Liam was a senior associate at Gunderson Dettmer LLP, one of the premier law firms in the country representing emerging growth companies and investors in media, technology and other industries. In addition to counseling clients on daily legal and business matters, Mr. Collins’ responsibilities at Gunderson Dettmer included structuring, negotiation and execution of domestic and international transactions including financings, acquisitions, and strategic investments.

“Prior to Gunderson Dettmer, Liam was an officer in the US Navy, where he was assigned to the Naval Nuclear Propulsion directorate and was awarded the Navy Commendation medal.

“Liam received both his Bachelor’s degree in International Economics and his Juris Doctorate from Georgetown University, where he was a founding board member of the Georgetown Film Society. In his free time, Mr. Collins enjoys skiing and is actively involved with Volunteer Lawyers for the Arts.

“Liam is a native of North Andover, Massachusetts.”

I should add that Liam plays saxophone.

…:::This just in: Liam has also become our resident secret agent in NNN promos:::…

Liam is awesome to work with, even though our interactions all revolve around my stupidly proposed questions… such as…

    “HOW’S YOUR INSURANCE?!”

Or well, he would say that to me because of a work-related issue.

Besides being a versatile internet actor and lawyer, Liam now holds the distinction of being the funniest corporate emailer in the office.

My favorite Liam line: “So, was it worth it?”

  3. Ian Jenkins Says:

Even if I sent out a mass-email entitled “Who Let the Dogs Out?!” I could never compete with “WE LIKE TO MOVE IT MOVE IT!”
