ThreadBanger, Top of the Pods!
By Tim.
Our DIY fashion network, ThreadBanger, and its first show Thread Heads (go, Rob and Corinne!), are starting to get some really nice attention: mentions from sites we love like Craft and Whipup; a great viewer-submitted how-to video that’s become a growing hit in YouTube’s DIY category, and been picked up in places like Consumerist and Lifehacker; and a lot of nice comments around the blogotwittosphere (thanks, Chris Brogan!)…
Imagine our happiness today to find out we’re currently the #1 podcast in Beauty and Fashion in the iTunes directory. That’s right, ahead of Hilary Duff, Seventeen, Sephora, Chanel, Vogue… and everyone else, for that matter. Wow! Only seven episodes into our first show — and we haven’t begun to talk to all the people we hope this network is for. We hope that if you love fashion and making it your own (or know someone who does), you’ll keep watching, send your comments, and tell your friends — we really love this network, and made it for you.

We met the masters Rob & Corinne through our great friend Malcom Bird (then running the teen & kid channels at AOL) when NNN was just a twinkle in our eyes. Jed Simmons and I worked with Malcom eons ago at Hanna-Barbera Cartoons and Turner Broadcasting and it was clear to me right away that Mal’s instincts were as sharp as ever when he said “See Rob right away, he’s your man!” Was he ever right.
And the way the communities have embraced their work is the darn proof. Congratulations on the first public proof of your talents guys.

By the way, not to short shrift our other networks — as of today, VOD Cars is still the #1 Autos podcast — long may it reign! — with Fast Lane Daily climbing fast (#6). And Channel Frederator is in the top 15 of the super-crowded Arts category. We love all our babies!

I have really appreciated threadbangers, it has great variety and never bores me. I have only made like 2 pieces of clothing ever, but I love the podcast. It is very well made and it is obvious why it it rising to the top… keep up the good work!

this show is pretty sweet
the site is amazing, easy to navigate, and very user friendly
so is the idea to eventually add other design oriented shows along side of this?
keep up the stellar work
